UPDATE-----UPDATE 3/1/13 3:48PM
The Mayor suddenly gets a new proposal from Wessler for $9,750.00 instead of the $16,000.00 that it was before. Shocking? Does the Mayor think that this releases him from liability of his actions so far in this matter?
He spent money he didn't need to.
Went around the law he signed into law by declaring trash can counting an emergency.
Then showed us that he was either overpaying for whatever reason or Wessler was overcharging us.
Will the mayor add money to another contract for Wessler or will Wessler overcharge us on something else to make up for the loss on this deal?
Here is the new document, compare it to the old one below.
Don't listen to what anyone has to say, let's the documents from the City of Beech Grove do the talking...
Is Mayor Buckley saying that the newly Unionized City Employees can't count?
A thank you to City Councilperson Anthony Davidson for bringing this to light.

Kevin,
Here are the item you requested.
General Ord 29, 2012 was an ordinance in which I wrote and was voted
on and passed 7-0 by the council and signed by the mayor as you will
see in bgcc_9.4.2012.pdf. Ed bell and Dennis Buckley have both seen
this ordinance, approved it, and signed it. They both are also members
of the BOS that violated it. The board_of_works_minutes_8.6. 2012.pdf
was when Mayor Buckley made the declaration of emergency for lick
creek. The last document is the other emergencies he declared to forgo
the bid process. I have included the code at the bottom of this
email. Let me know if you would like anything else.

Why are there two openings for positions in the clerks office? I thought both the ladies were hand picked by the Clerk-Treasurer. Trouble in paradise?

You should ask them about how great it is to work for Mr. McMillan. He really knows how to treat his employees with respect and dignity (add sarcastic voice as you read it). Maybe you could ask them why he tried to take the President's Day holiday away from them, even though it is in the employee handbook that is set by the council.
everyone knows who you are...
WHEN IS THE MAYOR GOING TO CLEAN UP THE STREETS? THERE IS A RED WRECKED TRUCK THAT HAS NOT MOVED AT 12TH AND CHURCHMAN FOR MONTHS. DO YOU THINK IT'S PROFESSIONAL COURTESY SINCE THE NEW MAYOR ACTS JUST LIKE THE LAST MAYOR AND THE DEMOCRATS ON THE CITY COUNCIL ACT LIKE THE LAST REPUBLICANS TOO?
Ed Bell and his wife can get the Mayor a great deal on Fire Extinguishers to put this big fire out. I am sure they still have some from the last job they had. Why aren't you and your wife working there anymore Ed? Come on, you can tell us.
was this the deputy mayor's idea or the mayor's? it's so hard to tell them apart anymore...
mcmillan cleaned up the clerk's office from all the dead weight. the only place he screwed up was hiring fitzgerald back, that was an obvious political favor. hell the whole fitzgerald family is making money off the city, i wonder how that happened?
someone needs to request some former clerk's office employees employment records so they will finally shut up.
McMillian is running his office like a real office in the business world instead of a political union favor laided lazy sack of shit government office.
It's time for the weakass honorless, tit sucking council members to step up and do whats right for the city and take away the vote of confidence from the mayor. Mary Stewart and Dave Harrison stop being party jackasses and do the right thing, stop him now
Where did Davidson come from? He has been on the spot lately. Good to see all hope is not lost with the council. If all members were like him we might not have to worry about Buckley.
Wow! The people on here drinking GED McMillan's kool aid is comical. People quit his office and he tells you they are all lazy sacks and you just believe him? Too funny! You guys just keep following him blindly off the cliff.
lol Funny, since 1 of the women that quit had to do w/ personal reasons and nothing to do w/ who she worked for. The other one I do not know, but my guess would be working conditions w/ other women! If you can't work for Dan because he does his job well and expects you to do the same then don't apply for the job! Simple!

Now look at the sheets carefully. It says the 9k PLUS reimbursable expenses. Really? And then look at the page that shows the hourly rates. ALL these people to count totes?
Mike Jarvis
Why is it that this is the 2nd known illegal action our Mayor has taken and then when called out on it on here or other social media, he back pedals and trys to undo his mistakes? It shouldn't take all of us babysitting him to make him be legal. Let's see him get out of the fact that it was approved without bids anyway. The new proposal still has to be ran by the board now and the bills still will be paid. So can't wait to see how they are split up. My guess is the reimbursable expenses will be seperate! Look at that list of all the people they say they are providing! Some say it isn't rocket science, however from the looks of this proposal, somehow they made it that way. Incredible....I'd say the "Buck" needs to stop here!
Please correct me if I have this incorrect, but here's the short version.
Candidate Buckley: Where's the money, the over spending, the lack of funding, oh the horror.
Mayor Buckley cast the deciding vote to keep public safety receiving, longivity and educational pay, then Mayor Buckley helps unionize the DPW. Mayor Buckley goes around the council not once but twice on spending funds, declaring emergency, one to pay a supporting company $16,000 to count the totes. (THIS IS THE STUPIDIST SHIT YET. YOU CAN'T PUT A FORM IN THE SEWER BILL TO BE RETURNED) Once caught they pulled out smoke and mirrors with the agreement to get it under ordinance 29, but trust me he will pay them $16,000.00 Here's the kicker while all of this has been going on Mayor Buckley has been whinning over the expense of Hornet center, and has been receiving nice dinners and lunches by several school administrations in hopes of taking over the center.
over paying public safety, over paying companies, needs to cut expenses so now he is trying to give away Hornet center. I COULD BE WRONG BUT I BELIEVE THIS WOULD BE STRIKE THREE, the mayor dosn't have the power to give away or sale things owned by the city. Do you think any council members besides Ed Bell has received the wining and dining treatment? You all need to reach out to the council and get this stopped and ask them to take away Mayor Buckley.s vote of confidence.
Council meeting tonight, word is Bell knows people will be upset and he is not coming to the meeting.

there exists, under emergency conditions, a threat to public health,
welfare, or safety.
Just wondering how counting of trash totes falls under this section for emergency spending measures without approval as the actual number does not constitute any threat to public health, welfare or safety?
This is just a thought. Did someone pocket the money? The $6,250 difference between the $16K and the $9,750. If they did, that would be very bad.
