My question is how a non employee can work in city hall and handle money and transactions? Didn't Duffer mess up enough while in office, why would we want him working in there?? Put Duffer and McMillian together spells BIG mistakes. Wonder why the girls in city hall are really too sick to work, I think it is called work sickness....... I know this won't get posted Kevin, you didn't post my last comment. You don't like hearing the truth about your man.

Someone just posted on the blog that you were going to hire or have hired Chris Duffer to work in the clerk's office.

to me
Kevin,
No, I did not hire Chris Duffer. He never even applied for a job here. I have hired a lady to fill JoAnn's  position. She has an associates degree in Applied Science in Professional Accounting, and 88 credit hours towards a business degree with a concentration in accounting. She is a Beech Grove resident and I am confident she well serve the citizens well. No, I did not know her before, I hired her. I have also hired Debbie Springer to fill one of the 2 part time clerk positions that are open. Yes, I advertised the positions in two newspapers and on the website. I have received over 25 applications. On Friday, Chris did come to the office and volunteered to assist me with some general duties, not any cash transactions. I appreciate that very much. I was the only person working in the office that morning when he came in. I think we both know who starts this stuff on your blog.
Dan

It's pretty much common knowledge that Former Appointed Clerk Treasurer Chris Duffer and I don't and haven't seen eye to eye on how to properly conduct the business of the City of Beech Grove.  It is also common knowledge that I call them like I see them and don't play favorites, cover anyone's ass, and I acknowledge positive things that people do no matter how many times both the Reps and Dems lie to everyone about that last part.

I commend Chris Duffer for jumping in to help when he happened to stop by to visit with Dan McMillan at City Hall. Dan was the only one working in his department that day as he is in the process of hiring some new people because of others leaving for full time gigs and a couple of the other ladies having the day off. Chris sat right down, offered to help and hung around until Dan got caught up. Nicely played Chris and I thank you.

As far as Dan being "my man."  Dan is everyone in the City of Beech Grove's man.  For those of you not "In the know" the reason Dan is taking heat many different factions in Beech Grove is that he can't be bought or sold, he won't play the political game, and he won't just knuckle under to the Public Servants who think that they can just demand whatever they want and frankly don't care what it costs the Taxpayers as long as they get their expected raises and new toys to play with.

They(the public servants) got that from the Mayor with his brand new 2 million dollar bond that Dan had paid off early saving the City $35,000.00 in interest by the way. The Mayor took less than a month to put the City right back into another 2 million in debt!

Ladies and Gentlemen, Dan is a fantastic steward of the City's finances and is the most accessible elected official we have besides Anthony Davidson and Judge Andrew Wells.  I encourage you to stop by and visit Dan if you want the cold, hard facts instead of the complete bullshit being spewed about what is going on in Beech Grove.  The numbers don't lie and Dan can show you the numbers.

Very soon I will be posting all of the campaign contributions that Mayor Buckley has received and who they came from. Then you will see why the Mayor has deemed so many projects as "EMERGENCIES" because by doing that he didn't have to open the projects for bid and could give them to whoever he wanted. Amazingly enough a lot of the names on the contributions list are the same ones who got "NO BID CONTRACTS."

If he was the only one working in his office then who would have known that chris was there? Had to be either the mayor or his overpaid telemarketer. is anyone stupid enough to think that she isnt working on getting him re elected while the city is paying her?

let me guess kevin, one of the contributors was wessler? if it is there is going to be hell to pay.

I am one of the people who said they would never look at your blog Kevin. I am seeing a different side of you now. You did everything you could to get Mr. Duffer out of office but when he does something to benefit us you praise him. I am glad I looked at your blog this time and I will take a look around in here to see what else there is. I was told by many to never look at the blog because it was full of lies, now I see that the truth is here from what I have seen so far. When I see you I will shake your hand.

Buckley will take care of the coppers and the firemen along with his buddies like wessler, but none of these people have had an impact on the out come of the last three elections. Truth is the only time you see these over paid spoiled public safety people is after something bad has already happened, or when they are trying to bully the council.

You are correct, King Dennis has decided to present the new firefighter contract to the bow tonight, while the clerk is away, and no one on the council has seen the agreement.

Hey Kevin,
funny how the coppers all ran their mouths about Councilman Templin and his evening by the dashboard lights.
But they say very little about a moon lit night and the heat in a squad car between two of their own, any insight?

If Duffer was not handling money by accepting payments for sewer bills, WHAT WAS HE DOING to help?? Just curious.

Looks like King Buckley handed out a 3% raise to the FD last night. Public safety should be well paid, but how can you hand out a raise when they city is in "financial ruin" and you are asking all other departments to cut back 10%. Oh they contributed to King Buckley's campaign? Oh, then its okay.
